REV. TAKES POLL TOLL ON OBAMA

Barack Obama's once high-flying poll numbers are sinking fast in key states after a brutal week in which he denounced his longtime pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, for rants that are tarnishing the senator's image.

The damage appears to be particularly acute in North Carolina - a state where Obama had led Hillary Rodham Clinton by as much as 25 points - with Tuesday's primary there just days away.
