May I ask how many of you looking at this comment make more than $250,000 a year? Please, if you do, leave a comment.
Tell me, how badly will you be affected by this horrible horrible tax increase? Will you be unable to get that summer home or that Ferrari that you planned on buying? Certainly we underclass people should protect you from this injustice. Sure, we worry about things like retirement or rent or groceries or gas, but never you mind. We won't let that mean Obama touch your money to help the rest of the country. Never!
My wife and I combined make a little more than 250K/per year. We live in a townhouse. We have two cars.
I put my wife through graduate school when we lived in a one bedroom apartment. I first got an engineering degree, next worked full time and went to law school at night and recently completed that degree.
We have student loans.
Neither of us are counting on social security for our retirement. Our parents never counted on social security. My grandma has a fully paid off house, a modest american car and would be devistated if all she had to live on was social security.
Why put more money into a failed program? Why take money from a hard working family such as mine that has busted its tail to get what it has?
In general there are three types of liberals:
(!) Lazy people who want the government to take care of them.
(2) Misguided middle class who some have the mistaken belief that the liberal democrats give a flying care about them. They don't. They will raise taxes, increase regulation, stifle competition and make it harder and harder for you to pull yourself up through the middle class.
(3) Trust fund people in the upper middle class or wealthy - the elitests. Obama is one of these. It makes no difference to these people if taxes go up, if competition is stifled, if upward mobility is a thing of the past. They are already on top. They don't care.
